LOS LUNES SIGNIFICAN MÁS

Every Monday, step into our welcoming environment at InterContinental Miami and be inspired by our resident artist creating, now hosted in the Gallery Lounge. Tap into your creative flow with postcard collage materials to engage in a little Creative Play.

Monday, Oct. 14th, 5-7pm - Workshop on Image Transfer led by Jean & Iggy Font, Mixed Media Artist & Painter

Jean Blackwell Font and Ignacio Font, artists and creative visionaries, co-founded collaboARTive in the vibrant Bird Road Art District. This innovative space is dedicated to fostering collaboration among artists and promoting their work through community-oriented initiatives.

Jean Blackwell Font's art explores the beauty, mystery, and strength that bind generations of women. Her autobiographical pieces are resonant and universal, delving into personal narratives that invite reflection. Using cultural and emotional symbolism, she communicates themes of epigenetic trauma—etched in memory, released through grief, and sustained by unseen generational bonds.

Ignacio Font's artwork reflects his life, feelings, and personal journey. His paintings offer a therapeutic, cathartic experience, blending structure and chaos with elements of geometry, abstraction, and dreamlike figures, evoking landscapes.

Together, Jean and Ignacio Font have created powerful and poignant bodies of work that speak to the human experience. Through collaborations, they merge their unique perspectives and approaches, resulting in exhibitions that are both visually striking and emotionally evocative.
